Speed Dating Shropshire – Code of Conduct for Attendees

This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all attendees at Speed Dating Shropshire events. By attending, you agree to uphold a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants.

  1. Respect and Behaviour

– Treat all participants, staff, and venue personnel with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
– Refrain from making unwanted advances, inappropriate comments, or engaging in harassing behaviour.
– Do not use offensive, discriminatory, or explicit language.
– Respect others’ personal space and boundaries at all times.
– Accept ‘no’ as a complete answer without pressure or negotiation.

  1. Safety and Confidentiality

– Keep your personal belongings secure at all times.
– Avoid sharing private contact details, addresses, or financial information at the event.
– Inform staff immediately if you feel unsafe or witness any concerning behaviour.
– Follow all staff instructions and event protocols for your safety and that of others.

  1. Conduct Outside of Events

If you choose to meet someone you met at an event afterwards:
– Meet in a public location.
– Let a trusted person know your plans.
– Arrange your own transport and exit strategy.
– Be cautious and respectful. Report post-event misconduct to us if necessary.

  1. Complaints and Reporting

– You may report concerns in person to event staff or by email to info@speeddatingshropshire.co.uk.
– Reports are handled confidentially and sensitively.
– We keep a record of complaints and may contact involved parties for information.
– We may request supporting information where appropriate.

  1. Sanctions for Misconduct

Depending on the severity of the breach, Speed Dating Shropshire may apply the following measures:
– Verbal or written warning.
– Temporary suspension from events.
– Permanent ban from all future events.
– Referral to law enforcement in cases involving threats, stalking, or assault.

  1. Additional Expectations

– Respect event timings and participate in good faith.
– Do not record, photograph, or film any part of the event without permission.
– Do not attend while under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol.
– Comply with any specific dress codes for themed events.
